  • Affairs of the Heart

Day off from college today for me. Crummy Daddy is asleep upstairs, feigning illness in my opinion. There is a very snotty baby shouting at me but my hangover is too vicious to consider play time so I'm going to stick him in front of the washing machine. Friend to mother's everywhere. God knows why but he LOVES it.

Went to my newly married friend's house for tea last night. Lets just say there was a little over-indulging taking place. More annoyingly I had to make pleasant talk with a girl who has just snared my (not so) secret crush. She swears they aren't going out but still looked very smug. Didn't like to tell her that her 'boyfriend' kissed me the day after he bagged her. Shush, don't tell CD...

  • Give yourself a shiny

Is it bad that I have spent all afternoon watching kids tv? Yes but not as bad as the fact that I have taken a fancy to Big Cook from Big Cook Little Cook. Lord help me!

Nice day today. I made Crummy Daddy take the baby for a walk round the park just to get him to sleep. He was as tired as but as he inherited the stubborn gene (not from me of course), he was fighting sleep until we aimed him into the direct sunlight and basically forced him to close his eyes (mwah ha ha, I will not be defeated).

CD and I just had an argument over who should chop the onions. Have been secretly seething and plotting my revenge ever since. Number one plan is to place a stinky nappy on his side of the bed so that when he reaches for his water in the middle of the night he gets a pleasant surprise. That will teach him....

  • Whatever happened to lazy Sundays?

Oh my god its Sunday morning, the house is tidy, the washing is on and I have some time to myself. I can't remember the last time. Crummy Daddy has taken the baby out shopping and I have the luxury of padding around the house half dressed drinking wine. Well it is Sunday.

Am determined today is to be a 'me' day after the disaster that was yesterday. Was planning a haircut and an afternoon with the girls when the news came in. Football was starting at 2pm and therefore CD had to drop everything and rush off, leaving me with the world's most miserable baby. We managed to get out for an hour before baby went into meltdown meaning I had to vacate Yummyland at top speed. Heaven forbid they should see a baby crying!

Goodness knows how I will cope with number two. Oh, did I forget to mention? I might be pregnant again......
